Kamiti terror fugitives has narrated the chilling counter with the convicts.

The man took a selfie with the convicts. He says they were unarmed.

The three escapees were recaptured on Thursday, November 18, just three days after they disappeared from the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison and the man was part of the locals who cornered them.

Speaking to Citizen TV, the Kitui man said they noted that the men were walking suspiciously and meticulously so that they do not get lost and that was when they became sceptical.

Walking suspiciously
“They walked in a zig-zag pattern. They went to one side of the road and after walking and entering a forest, they came back and then crossed to the other side. They were very careful so as not to get lost,” he said, adding they even entered a forest but came back after realising it was too thick.

The man said they did everything in their power to corner them as patriotic Kenyans adding they did not fear because the trio was unarmed.

“We, however, do not know how they got here. We can’t tell whether they used a vehicle,” he added.
He also talked of phones that should be recovered which he alleged that the escapees were using.

“When those phones are found in the forest, maybe we will know who showed them the way,” he said.

On Twitter, many shared a picture of the man from Kitui who took a selfie with the convicts and said he should be the winner of the hefty reward because he even had the evidence.

KOT argued he had the evidence and was also daring enough to take a photo with the convicted terrorists.

“We have a winner of KSh 60 Million. I hope this guy gets the 60 million promised by the government,” another online user noted.
