Today’s COVID-19 update

In the last 24 hours the Ministry of Health has informed Kenyans that 95 people have tested positive for the virus from a total sample of 4, 799. From the cases 88 are Kenyans and 7 are foreigners. Today’s Positivity rate is at 2 per cent. From the cases 51 are males and 41 are females. The youngest is one year old and the oldest is 94 years old. In terms of county distribution Nairobi leads with 60 cases followed by Kericho and Uasin Gishu with 6 and 4 cases respectively.


22 patients have recovered 13 from the home based isolation care program and 9 from the Health care facilities in the country.

To another good news to Kenyans no death have been reported in the country and thereby the cumulative fatalities remains at 5, 335.

On matters concerning the Omnicront variant the Ministry of Health has assured all Kenyans that they are very vigilant at any passenger arriving in the country that has already reported the virus.
