School Opening dates may be extended after high rise of COVID-19 in the country

The Ministry of Education under the leadership of Professor George Magoha as the serving cabinet secretary has been facing a number of challenges in the implementation of education services.

The biggest challenge that has recently faced schools especially boarding secondary schools is the burning of school dormitories. This is a challenge that has made schools to close early following school unrests.

Schools are expected to officially reopen for term 3 which is set to resume on 3rd of January 2021 which is just around the corner.

However, school opening dates could be taking a new twist following the latest updates from the Ministry Education.

Following the surge in Covid 19 numbers, the Ministry of Education is hesitant with fears of the spread of the deadly pandemic that has claimed the lives of many people across the globe.

Some parents are also complaining that the time frame given by the ministry is not enough for them to get school fees for their sons and daughters.
