15 students hospitalized after fire outbreak

15 students from PCEA Kambala girls have been hospitalized following a Fire Outbreak that allegedly begun while in the wee hours of the morning.

According to the reports given by the school management, they claimed that they received an alert from one of the students who saw large clouds of smoke coming from their dormitories. Students who started panicking allegedly rushed to their dormitories to pick their belongings leaving some sustaining injuries from being burnt.

Parents who expressed their disappointments and dissatisfactions over the incident have called upon the ministry of Education to look into this incident before things get worse. According to the reports given by most parents, they claimed that maybe this fires were not being caused by students.

This is happening at the same time when the Cabinet secretary of education proffessor George Magoha has cautioned all misbehaving students claiming that the government was going to make sure their parents take responsibility for their actions. According to the reports given by Magoha, he said that parents whose kids will be found guilty of destroying school properties were going to be forced to pay for these damages adding that the government was not going to cater for them.

“Let them continue doing so but as far as the government is concerned, we are not going to pay for the damages caused by your children. Parents whose kids will be found guilty of destroying school properties will be forced to take their children’s responsibilities”, Cs Magoha.

While reacting to this incident, the interior Cabinet secretary, Dr Fred Matiangi has called upon the government urging them to reintroduce Caning in schools. According to the reports given by Matiangi, he said that this was the only way in which the government was going to get rid of rogue students in school.
