Several students feared dead as dormitory catches fire
As students head back to school for the resumption of the third and final term of the year, it is sad to announce that another dormitory has caught fire and several students are feared dead. Reports indicate that Mwimbi boarding primary school in Tharaka Nithi county has caught fire.
According to Nation Africa, through their Official twitter account, it confirmed that the school was in fire. “Fire burns dormitory at Mwimbi Boarding Primary School in Maara, Tharaka Nithi County.” they tweeted.
This comes just barely two days after schools reopened as Education cabinet secretary George Magoha had warned the students against being involved in such heinous acts. Magoha warned that such students who will be caught will not be spared as stern actions will be taken against them.
Students should take keen as this is the last term where the candidates will be seating for their national examinations. Please take note.
