Kenya Army takes over Lamu as Al-shabaab are feared to have invaded the region

Several Security agencies have taken control of different parts of Lamu a day after the government imposed a Dusk to dawn Curfew in Lamu over the rising cases of insecurity in the region that left 7 people dead.

According to the reports given by the police, they revealed that the deceased were allegedly murdered by the suspects who allegedly shit them several times after which they Reportedly Torched their houses and bodies for unknown reasons.

As if this was not enough, another man is reported to have been found dead in his house under unclear circumstances. Residents who spoke to the media regarding the issue revealed that the deceased, a renowned teacher was allegedly murdered in the same way the other 6 were killed in.

Several days ago, six people were allegedly killed by a group of armed men who allegedly ambushed residents in the middle of the night. According to the reports given by the residents, they revealed that the suspects who were armed allegedly ambushed the innocent residents who were later killed in cold blood by suspects who later fled from the crime scene.

While reacting to this incident, the interior Cabinet secretary, Dr Fred Matiangi revealed or rather announced that there was going to be a Dusk to Dawn Curfew for one month. According to the reports given by Matiangi, he said that this was meant to reduce the increasing rate of crime in the region adding that innocent residents didn’t need to worry.

Kenyans who took to their different social media accounts to express their opinions and suggestions on the matter have however called upon, President Uhuru Kenyatta urging him to deploy more KDF Officers in this regions claiming that its only KDFs who can handle this kind of cases in the country.
