Al-Shabaab fighter surrenders to Kenya Army soldiers after witnessing 25 of his colleagues being killed

Al-Shabab has once again suffered another huge blow since the year started after one of its members denounced terrorism activities.

Adan Gurow Isak has today denounced terrorism before he took himself to authority, just a day after 25 of his colleagues were killed.

Media reports from Somalia have said the youthful Isak surrendered himself to the Somali National Army base found in the Barawe district of the Lower Shabelle region.

Somali National TV has reported that the man has been serving in Al-Shabaab as the fight for the past seven years.
However, it is not immediately revealed whether he has been taking part in deadly operations that the terror group carried out both in Somalia and Kenya

“Adan Gurow Isak, a member of the terror- group of Alshabab has on Monday surrendered to the Somali National Army stationed in the Barawe district of Lower Sh.region.

“He has been a member of the group for the last 7 years and now denounced their ideology, SNA officials told to State Media,” the source said.

The surrendering of the militants is another huge blow for the terror group, who on Sunday lost more than 20 other fighters who were gunned down by SNA forces.

At least 25 militants were gunned down in the Lower Shabelle region after the military had intelligence that they were regrouping in the region and pulled out a successful offensive attack.
